Nice place in a beautiful location.
Nice place in a beautiful location. Would recommend if passing through Gardnerville/Genoa/Carson City area. They have pet friendly rooms which was a huge plus. Area for improvement is the service and staff there. Not the friendliest bunch. Also, onsite cafe/Starbucks doesn't open until 7:30am so plan accordingly.

    David Walley's was interesting.
David's is being sold to Holiday Inn. The hotels are in great shape. Our bed in a studio said it was a queen. LISTEN, it was not ! I would say ? closer to a full or double ? Too tiny, kept us up and very uncomfortable. Layout in room was not done right. One night stand. Other person needed to use the floor. Our front door looks like some one tried breaking in as it did not shut fully with gap and door moved easy. The spa is $55.00 per person daily for non owners or exchange. That's a lot. Sure you can swim in the, "other" pools non spa. This should have been already included in stay instead of price gouging. 1862 restaurant and Saloon, is wonderful. Located in the middle of nowhere it has some of the greatest staff we have stumbled upon. The chef knows his skills and produced some dishes that were just like the pictures online, YUMMIE. Drinks were of a wide selection. The views breathtaking and wildlife over head always coming in before night to the ponds. The spa was a can of worms. Staff great checking in. The spa needs an over haul. The plastic spa's filled with hot spring water was ugly and unhealthy looking. They did improve the cement walkways and planters, but the kids spa was very discerning, with the wrong cement used. 3 days later I still have a wound from it cutting me. How this is for kids,is beyond me. Owners should hop in and see what I mean. Same folks used the same spa daily. Look for a man using phone taking pics of woman. Creepy.

    Not worth the money
Not very impressed! It not just the fact that you have to pay $55 extra to use the spa facilities, the room itself wasn’t comfortable at all. The furniture all seemed like it was 40 old with all its lumps. For a place called “resort and spa” I would think comfort would be a higher priority. Save your money!
