Booked two king room ocean view for 14 days and was told that was not available on check in. We were given an “upgrade” to the Hacienda” adults only side of the resort to make up for it, however this turned out to not really be an upgrade. Had to request another room and our other party was moved twice due to noise after being placed on the street side of the resort. This was a common theme throughout our stay and we daily saw guests complaining about their room. We eventually did end up wth a garden view overlooking the pool but this did nothing for the noise. Walls are paper thin and we could hear everything from adjacent rooms. Staff is good, Emma in the breakfast buffet was fabulous! Hacienda pool is cold but the other pools are warm. For being a renovated resort it is getting run down already. Our room doorknob was very loose and the shower head bar was falling off the wall, patio doors also don’t lock but if you’re on a higher floor that’s irrelevant. Buffet food is standard fare and the a la carte restaurants are hit and miss (Mexican was the best). Booking for the a la carte is a gong show at times having to line up at the concierge desk for 9:00 am every day. Be early! Beds are comfortable and hot water works well, stocked fridge daily.

Stayed a week, had a great time. Lots to do, great amenities, close to old town, close to airport, and the staff are excellent across the board. Only knock against is that the property is in a bit of disrepair, nothing glaring just lots of little things. Still a great trip and would go back for sure.

My son and I booked one week in November and we were absolutely pleased first and foremost with the staff, always so pleasant and eager to make our stay the most exceptional. These staff members would greet us from afar, every single time, with great big enthusiastic smiles , hellos, and buenos dias. I saw the staff accommodate non Spanish speaking tourists wonderfully. Every time we walked through an area there was always a staff member cleaning, squeegeeing windows, scrubbing the area around the pool with soapy water, etc. housekeeping was in our room every single day changing entire bedding, doing the floors refilling all items daily We did not even have to request this. All of the staff greeted us with smiles, “ is there anything you need, anything we can get for you, please let us know” Such a wonderful experience. Even to the very last moment when we were walking towards the front desk to check out, before even reaching the desk, an employee spotted us and offered” would like me to call a taxi for you and helped us with our luggage. Also this place has a wide variety of food on site from sushi, to pizza, Italian French, Mexican fine dining as well as buffets that are open all day from 7 am to 10 pm with everything you can imagine available. We will DEFINATELY be back! Thank you.
