I had a major issue checking into this hotel due to a miscommunication and I had to say somewhere else. I wrote to the hotel the next day and they instantly refunded my money even though it was a non-refundable booking. I was very pleased with the level of customer service I received. The hotel is also lovely and in an excellent location.

Great place to stay
The hotel is a very charming place to stay. Loved almost everything about it. The only complaint we had was the bed was strange. It had a memory foam on top of the mattress, but the mattress itself seemed beyond end-of-life and the memory foam was trying to compensate for it. It did not compensate for it at all. Aside from that - everything else about the place is great!

Palm Springs gem
This historic boutique hotel is beautiful, well-kept, in a great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Our executive king room (second floor) was large, clean, and well-appointed, with just a bit of street noise (we were on the corner), but the bed was uncomfortable. It was very high due to the thick foam pad on top of the mattress. Very soft, like sleeping in a marshmallow. Also a bit warm. Breakfasts are still bagged which was disappointing for the price; they do have a lovely breakfast room which goes unused except for the coffee machine and candy bar (a fun perk!). Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Smaller first floor queen rooms facing the pool seemed dark and cramped. Second floor is airier with multiple common seating areas, a deck etc. Complimentary glass of champagne was nice after a warm day of hiking in Joshua Tree, less than an hour away. Service was attentive; mid-week the place was very quiet. All in all a wonderful property in a great location. Enjoyed our stay!

The place is very nice. The look and feel of the place a good vibe. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Only complaint would be the worn/torn bed sheet and the added on “resort fee” not included in the rate of the room.

Nostalgic Boutique Hotel in Downtown Palm Springs
This two-storey hotel and spa is in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Has a slightly heated outdoor pool and a fantastic hot tub. We stayed in one of the suites on the second floor that overlooked the pool. Not noisy, open 24 hours. It was a 5-10 min drive to airport. Rent a car, plenty of room to park at. Check in went smoothly, Merry was super and welcomed us with her kindness. Upon completion of check in, there was no mention of the daily resort fee that would be added to your final bill. Wasn’t a surprise because of the reviews I read. These resort fees are applied everywhere in hotels in Palm Springs, so when you think you are receiving their free continental breakfast or parking for free, you really are not. Prices during our time were inflated partly as a result of Indian Wells Tennis going on same time. We came for that. Price here was actually better then at some other locations. Staff very nice. Hotel grounds very clean. Loved sitting outside by their fires. Hotel great for all ages…fun location for many occasions (girls getaway, guys getaways. I recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. It was really nice. We are from Canada so with our low exchange from CAD to USD, just made the total bill pricey. Not the hotel’s fault, but could consider offering something closer to par.
