Great location and good value for money
This is a great little hotel at an amazing location just on the canal and a few minutes walk from the Squares. The staff are friendly and obliging and the included breakfast is a nice touch. It's continental but also provides boiled eggs. Make a note to bring with you tea and coffee and shower gel and shampoo as there is an additional 5 euro charge for tea and coffee making facilities and also a shower pack. The nimber 1 and 2 busyops are a couple of steps up the road and there is a free shuttlebus to the station The rooms are clean and basic and there is wetroom. We had a great view out onto the canal (if you don't like canal smell, specify a room without this view) There is a little courtyard for relaxing between the main building and the annex. Non smokers beware as the courtyard is the only place one can smoke, so people do. You could try specfying a room that doesn't have windows overlooking the courtyard. We stayed during the hottest heatwave ever and could have done with some air conditioning. We decided to open our windows and so predictably got mosquito bites. I don't think that one can expect an inexpensive hotel in Northern Europe to have air conditioning as the problem is not normally hear but cold. All in all good value foroney and we enjoyed our stay and would come back
