Rude Staff, improper room description on Expedia
as we were 2 couples, we've booked the 2 Bedroom Premier, Club Floor, which was proposing 1 Double Bed + 1 Twin Bed; or 2 double beds (since today they have updated the description). I have precised on my booking application that I want the 2 double beds configuration. I have received my booking confirmation. Arrived at the hotel, they've told me that the 2 double bed room configuration did not exist. I show the room description on Expedia (it was not modified yet), I have shown them my booking detail and the confirmation email. They did not propose anything just say it was a mistake, of course not mine... I have insist this is not what I had pay for and that we want 2 double beds. They did not accept to upgrade us to the type of room which has 2 double beds and the receptionist starts to become very rude! I was very disappointed since it was not at all what I have promised to my friends and that the receptionist was incredibly rude, even it was the hotel mistake (the proof is that now they have change the room description). Cleanliness is so so, they was some hairs and body hairs in my bath room and obviously, someone had smoke inside, there was that terrible smell of cold tobacco. The location is great, which is a good point.

Maintenance need to catch up service staff
The hotel staff were excellent. From the checkin staff to the staff at the restaurant were really very hard working. We arrived at the hotel after10pm and yet the checkin staff was wonderful and did everything needed including the breakfast coupons without asking. The next morning we went for breakfast. The staff there were again were spot on, cleaning the table so fast and also helping if we needed any assistance. However the rooms were not up to standard. The rooms were clean and very spacious but the bathroom fitting were a total disaster. We were in room 3103. When you try to turn on the shower water came came out from all 3 outlets, the hand held shower, the over head shower and the tub pipe. Further the wall fitting hold the hand held shower was shaking as though it was to fall off any time.

Very Good
Hits and Misses.
The rooms are amazing, spacious and clean. Breakfast taste way below average except for their teh tarik at 39 restaurant. Front desk is horrible, lacks of attention to guests baggage (went up and down 3 times to settle this) and club rooms check in at 39 floor is ridiculous as the first floor front lady desk manager does not greet you nor explain anything then suddenly transport you to 39 floor. Room service is worst experience for a 4 star hotel as they do not respond your calls after 9pm, really do not bother to call them at all. No compensation on their part. Everyone sleep hungry that night. Level 8 convenience store close before 10pm and if not they will deny you. Also laundrette needs you to bring your own detergent. Finally, the breakfast at 39 restaurant is late, was there at 7.30am and they are only ready at 8am+.

Exceptional
Pleasant stay.
We had a very good experience staying at PNB for 4 nights. We stayed on the 20th floor with amazing views from our room. The room had a kitchenette and a living room making it very spacious. The hotel has 2 restaurants both of which were halal certified, that we tried and both has very nice food and service from staff. Has a variety of buffet breakfast options. Very clean and welcoming. Location is ideal - which is about 15min walk away from Petrona Towers and a few minutes away from Ampang shopping centre. If I were to re-visit KL I would come back to this hotel.

Reliable, friendly, well located, but now run down
I like the Perdana (previously the Darby Park) and we have stayed here multiple times over the last 10 years. Great location close to KLCC, friendly helpful warmhearted staff, really good Malaysian buffet breakfast. Good value for money, So why 3 stars? It is old and tired and very badly in need to a major full blown renovation. The carpets are dirty and stained, the paint is peeling in places, the tiles in the bathrooms are chipped in places, the grouting has seen better days. It is all just a bit run down. We stayed in two different rooms on "Club Floors" with supposedly superior rooms but both rooms were in the same overall condition
