The room was unsafe. One of the only working outlets was hanging out of the wall, and pushed back into the wall as I plugged in my phone. The there are exposed pipes, the deadbolt is falling off the doorway, the the entire room smelled strongly of ammonia. I left the hotel soon after I checked in (as soon as I had another reservation lined up), and the hotel refused to refund me for the unsafe room. I don't feel like any room at this hotel would've been safe and clean. No matter if I had cancelled the reservation or not, I was informed that the hotel would be charging me, and so I kept it just to write this review.

Mixed Feelings
Okay so my first gripe is the room looked nothing like the pictures. And I do mean nothing like the pictures. The basic necessities were not so basic. You had to ask for things that should have been included in each room. The carpet is old and needs to be replaced. The pictures on the website need to be updated to the actual picture of the rooms. I also was told I was getting two beds and I only got one small bed. There was wires exposed. Pros: The check-in staff was very nice. I felt welcomed. The location is great. Right in downtown Toronto. I uber'd around and each ride coated roughly almost $6 each way. So yeah, cabbies each your heart out. You can walk to certain things if you want to. There's free Wifi and air conditioning. Which is good. Very quiet neighborhood. Conclusion: would I stay here again? ONLY if I was on a budget. Otherwise, no. This place has so much potential, which sucks. Good thing is I didn't have any bed bug bites or whatever. So that's a plus. You can tell they try their hardest but only use the cards they're dealt. So, I won't blame staff for the hotel lacking so much. I guess you get what you pay for. Suggestions for future patrons: Bring your own blow dryer, iron and mini iron board, a mini fridge if you have a travel one, your own face towels and dry off towels ( you can wash them in their on site laundry room), a comforter, and I think that's about it.

Cheap, basic 1.5 Star hotel,1 km. from YONGE AV.
Rooms cleaned every 2-3 days. Bedside lamp missing, had to ask for one.ON-OFF switch missing, had to be plugged in to light up, unplugged to turn off.Repaired after 2 days. Front desk helpful, Maintenance poor. Swimming pool advertized non existent.Parking 200 m away at $ 15 Canadian reasonable for 24 hrs, being able to take car out during the day at no extra cost.Extra chair besides desk chair needed in rooms. No common sitting areas for reading or socializing.

Lower your expectations
Overall fair stay. Sketchy neighborhood, the entire hotel lobby smelled of marijuana and when I was checking in, there was a line of "working girls" in the lobby.
