An awful experience
This hotel was awful. The bath had no plug, OK, so a shower it is, no hot water, running the water to see if would get hot resulted in a flooded bathroom !! Complained to reception on Friday morning, who said they would notify maintenance, on return later, NOTHING DONE. Was told Guest Services person would be advised and to check again on Saturday morning re. room change. Lift out of order, no sign, just not working ! Complained again Saturday morning, no other room available - still no hot water. Advised maintenance had been told. Said I was not prepared to stay 3rd night and said I did not expect to pay for 3rd night, disdainful response -'talk to your booking agent'. Hotels.com website did say not refundable if booking changed, however standard of hotel was simply unacceptable, the 'change' (cancellation of 3rd night) was by necessity not choice. It will be interesting to see what response is regarding a refund !
