Bait and switch?
Was suppose to be a view of water. Yes I did have a review of the water if I look over the balcony otherwise you see the forest, TV was a computer screen and a small one at that; swirl pool not present, expedia should have offered as suite did not have, no where to put the coffee, sofa bed but no coffee table. did have heated floor in the bathroom, toilet roll holder falling from wall, walls per paper thin, pool closed at 10 so not luck wanting to use if you come in to late. Apparently, there are better suites, but if you come in late, you get what is left. We booked over 3 months before coming and was very disappoint. Also be sure you arrive before 10, we would luck as we arrive just at 10 otherwise we would not be able to get into our room as we left our cell phone behind..

Accommodation great; restaurant not so much!
Pacific Shores is lovely, this was out third visit. We stayed in the more modern building (700 block) and the room was beautiful. Unfortunately this review gives a lower rating since the Smoke & Water Restaurant has gone downhill. We did not get a decent meal throughout our visit! We reserved for four for the Father's Day Brunch (which we enjoyed last year), arrived on time with invited guests and were told "Oh no we haven't had Fathers Day brunch for years". Not true and we booked early because last year they ran out of salmon. Why not tell us when we booked that we would not be getting brunch? This year the poached eggs were cold, overdone, service was sloppy or insufficient. Tea is almost impossible; please put the teabag into the pot, pour boiling water on top, serve with milk. Please do not call me 'dear', I am not in an old folks' home yet. End of rant. The views are nice, the live music is great. Just get the kitchen staff in gear and we'll come back!

A little disappointed
Unfortunately I was beside some very noisy people and the walls are paper thin. The room was quite run down, the shower door was off of it's track so it wouldn't close and the bathroom fan was very loud.

Great spot to unwind
Business stop on a week on the Island. Super quiet, last minute deal through Hotels.com - tranquil, ocean breeze, great food in the restaurant, attentive staff.
