Hotel Alisei - Great place to stay at Terrenas
The stay there was amazing!!! I loved the view to the beach and how beautiful the cabins were. The restaurants and breakfast where also so really good and affordable. Definitely coming back again. The only bad side is that you can't swim in the beach in front of the hotel because there are rocks but there are other beaches close by. Thanks!!!

Fantastic stay
Super location, just a few meters of the beach. The beach right in front is clean and beautiful although with a rocky bottom. Not sure whether this is permanent or due to different weather conditions moving the sand around - but if you walk less than 100m to the west the beach was perfect. Pool area was nice and clean. Staff was very nice and friendly. Make sure you talk to Jose about tours, diving etc - he is the man to go to :) We had a few days during Dominican Easter (Samana Santa) which was totally crazy and noisy all over town - even with all the noise this was not a problem, in the apartment or on the terraces as our apartment was located a bit away from the beach road. As soon as this ended DR and Las Terrenas really showed itself from its best side. Would love to go back sometime..

Very Good 8.0
Gem in the dirt.
If you planing to come to DR, this hotel is one of the best none-all-inclusive. We never stay in all-inclusive, so we can see country where we visit. This time around I was surprised by food/goods prices vs. cleanliness around hotel and thought that most would prefer not to leave resort here. Hotel turned out to be better than I expected: all the time when we did not swim on the beach, that is closer than I thought (right at the hotel), we were at the very spacious balcony/dining room with the great view of the ocean. One of us used that "room" 100% of the time, even sleeping in the hammock or couch there. We did not use actual kitchen/dining room at all. There are master bedroom with tons of space there, another bedroom with two twins (also spacious), one more bathroom in the hall, 3 TVs, full kitchen. Mattress was great and there are additional pillows if needed. Air-conditions worked very well. Breakfast the hotel is very good. Two things that might help: curtains in the bathrooms are see-through from outside and I had to come up with something. There is no microwave, which could have helped. Beach tip: bring riff shoes, there is sand, but not everywhere. Beach is not private, so expect locals to come few time a day to bother you with services. Tip for coming to DR: bring local cash, you'll need it for visitor's card & lots of tolls on the road. Also, gas prices are really high.
