The Blue Diamond is a gem in the rough, it really needs a refresh. Settled in the mangroves, the paths and rooms nestled between nature, the jungle and the beach … very beautiful and wet even saw an Agouti on our patio, an endangered species. Unfortunately, the place needs a refresh as the jungle is taking back it’s land. The bed mattress was horrible and the grange creaked badly. Thecenote is filled with green algae and the railings are almost breaking over. The bikes are a great idea except everyone I rode was somewhat broken. The dock on the pictures must have been taken out by a storm and is missing. Their is a sewage smell here and there. Much of the paint needs a new coat and when you look closely there lots of little things broken such as tiles and lights including our own room number missing. Food wise, we only tried one restaurant and it was tasty for an inclusive stay, though the wines were a little too cheap for our taste and the staff was overtaxed. Lastly, the sand on the beach is one of the best in the world and we live in Maui, so soft, so white with quite the swell at times. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, 5 star amenities that feels like 3 star quality. For the price, adjust your expectations.

This property is outdated. Our room was okay but definitely not a luxury hotel. We got a free upgrade that we didn’t want and our room looked nothing like the pictures. To fill up your bathtub or pool in the room they only give you cold water and you definitely need to call the golf carts or find bicycles to get around the hotel because everything is far. Not to mention there is crocodiles all throughout the water in the resort. The only good thing about this place was the food honestly the food was 10/10 everything else was okay. The beds were super uncomfortable and I kept getting woken up by monkey noises in the middle of the night. We definitely won’t be staying here again.

Blue Diamond was truly the most incredible accommodation experience my husband, friends, and I have ever had. Everything from the nature-rich resort area to the gorgeous rooms, amenities, food, cocktails, activities (swimming in the Cenote is a must!), and world class service were spectacular. Every staff member we interacted with was amazing and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We will absolutely be returning to this genuine piece of paradise for another dream vacation soon!
