2 night stay for wedding
Stayed at the Oakland Hotel during the easter weekend for 2nights as a friend was getting married at Three Rivers Golf and Country club and this was the closest to the venue (8mins) Hotel and room is clean and serves the purpose for a short break, they have tea and coffee facilities in the room and some lovely biscuits to accompany which was a nice touch, you can request iron facilites from reception which is free of charge to use, the cooked breakfast is not bad you get an egg, 1 sausages, 1 bacon, baked beans, mushroom and tomatoe which was nice and filled me up, the biggest let down for me was the shower pressure, it was so low with hadly any water coming out Would stay again if I needed to visit an event at Three Rivers

Value for money stay
Staying over for business and took family. Room was ok, entertainment in bar on Friday night was enjoyable. Not too much noise in room from bar.

Lovely hotel
I had a great time. Friendly staff and very quiet. Room was very clean. Comfortable bed and spacious felt at home. Value for money. Loved the bar. No parking at the but loads of it just a few minutes walk or just in front if you are lucky.

Fair but not brilliant.
To be fair you pay for what you get. we were in a premium room but I found the mattress small and a bit thin as were the pillows. Although it says the place has a restaurant it doesn't, it has a deal with a Chinese restaurant next door (10% off with proof by room key). Breakfast now you can have a full English, however I asked for two eggs (you can only have fried or scrambled) bacon and mushroom. Well the two eggs were fine but one small rasher of bacon, tasted fine but was only one rasher and a teaspoon of mushroom. Service fine. No food available at all in the place except breakfast, big bar attached but no food there either. Plenty of food sources surrounding the place though, and they will let you bring in fish and chips to eat in the bar but not your room. They will give you cutlery and a plate in the bar. Not a place we would use for more than one night. Parking is tricky there are five places at the rear of the hotel but was advised to use a free car park five minutes walk away as the five places are on a delivery route for vans and in the words of the receptionist, "The van drivers are not to careful " The cost of £70 was reasonable, as i said you pay for what you get, but breakfast could have had bigger portions.
