Underwhelming
Didn’t leave here feeling good about my decision. Passion stains on window treatments made me feel uncomfortable.

I would highly recommend to stay there!
I had a great stay, good location near subway, nice lobby/bar, Friendly staff. Small room but very cozy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Only negative point is that you can feel the subway underneath.

Very Good
Two Weeks in NYC at the Duane Street Hotel
I travel to NYC annually for work and I always stay at the Duane Street Hotel. It is within walking distance to my clients down on Wall Street and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. I don't recall the name of the young lady with red hair but she's always very pleasant. The rest of the staff were equally pleasant Pros: location location location! Tribeca is one of the trendiest areas in lower Manhattan and the hotel is a great jumping off point for exploring the city or taking a walk around the neighborhoods. The hotel has a small boutique feel, friendly staff, and the beds are comfortable. I've stayed in each type of room that the hotel has to offer (superior king, executive king, and the CORNER SUITE). The Corner Suite is a fantastic room and you can get a great price on it if you book in advance. Trust me, it's well worth the extra price. The standard rooms are tiny, but that's NYC Cons: Minor but worth mentioning. Deferred maintenance - The sinks in the rooms don't drain well, not a huge issue but it's noticeable. The exterior windows are in need of a deep cleaning, they're quite dingy and dirty. The view of the city streets could be so much better than they are. A/C - there were a few days in February where the weather was 70 degrees when I was there, even with the A/C on full blast at the lowest temperature I did not cool down at all. Tried switching from auto temp, to cool temp setting but no change. I can't imagine what it's like during the summer months.

Perfect Choice Hotel for Me
This contemporary boutique hotel was better than I expected! I spent 10 hours on the computer trying to decide on a hotel for our 4 nights in NY just before Christmas. I finally chose this hotel and was so delighted with my stay. The Duane Hotel is contemporary in style, clean, quiet, quiet heater, everything functioned as it should, very close to the subway entrance, Ground Zero, Eatily, restaurants and shopping. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The Delux Double Queen Bed Room was spacious enough for 3 adults. Next trip, I will save myself all that researching time and book the Duane Hotel.
