No Sleep in Charleston
Perhaps my room (114) was the worst spot in the hotel, as it was both on the street level and the closest to the driveway for parking, but my initial impression was disappointment and sadly it got worse from there. When booking there was a notice that the hotel would be under construction. As I was in town for business that didn't really concern me being I would be up and on the move every morning. However construction began at 6am, and the noise was horrible, constant beeping and people shouting. Also there are no curtains on the windows, just wooden blinds that allow for a fair amount of light pollution to come in from the street, so that added to my sleepless misery. The breakfast was in the adjacent building and had a nice selection of items with a beautiful view, it was the best part of the an otherwise frustrating stay. I will not be returning.

The room was an inside room with no window. The room was small. Staff was pleasant, breakfast good, location great but for the price we expected a nicer room. The room had slight musty smell , the bathroom had no exhaust fan. We have stayed in allot of inns and boutique hotels given the price it was disappointing

Hotel and staff are great, walls are paper thin. You could hear the occupants in the room next door as if you were in there with them. Other than that its very clean, close to all the fun and the staff were great.

Wouldn’t stay again.
Air condition was not great, very loud when it turned on which was all thru the night. They set the coolest temp and you cannot change it. Very small room, no coffee maker, no view to anything. Didn’t like the window curtain, it didn’t not cover the entire window. A small portion was open at the bottom and curtain didn’t reach bottom. For what I paid I wish I would have selected a better hotel on our Anniversary.

Charm of an old hotel with comfort of a new
Great position, walked everywhere. Loved the extra touches like happy hour, chilled water and freshly baked cookies at reception.Hotel is undergoing renovations so unfortunately just missed out on the opening of their roof top breakfast room, looking forward to going back and checking that out.
