Beautiful view.
We had a beautiful view of the sound from our room with a small balcony overlooking the pool where we could watch the ferry come and go. We were very close to shops and restaurants so an easy walk. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Won’t stay twice
Air conditioning did not work, the pool was overrun with staff and locals, the restaurant cook caught guests around property to try to get them to eat at the restaurant. The balcony was not private so you couldn’t open the door to offset the lack of air conditioning. Housekeeping good, weight staff good, front desk good. Location excellent.

Amazing hotel with friendly staff
The staff and service at this hotel was absolutely amazing. Friendly people and the food quality at the restaurant was some of the best I've had. The only downside to it was that I had been sitting on my bed working, with the window open to let in the breeze. When all of a sudden I look over and notice the visitors on the next room's balcony has direct eyeshot of my bed!!!! Poor design and there should probably be some sort of barrier there. Good thing I was at least partially clothed.

The hotel room and service were really good. The cleanliness was really good as well. We only stayed for one night so we didn't see much of the shared areas on the hotel. The only thing that we were dissapointed is that the booking specified a balcony with a view and we were given the ground floor room, which meant no views at all. The actual reason we booked that was because of the view... despite that, I would recommend it! (Ask for a room in a higher floor ;) )

Needs cleaning and upgrading. Friendly staff.
We stayed here overnight after arriving on the ferry from Wellington. I had not looked at the reviews until a day before our trip and was disappointed to see the negative reviews regarding the condition of the rooms. Unfortunately they were accurate. We were initially put in one of the family rooms and as I walked in there was a cockroach on the wall right above the bed. The woman at the front desk was dismayed to hear this and kindly put us in a different room. While it was without cockroaches, it was in severe need of upgrading. Mostly the bathrooms but rugs were stained and dirty, sink chipped, shower walls mildew stained. The restaurant was good though. I would not recommend this place though the location was good.
