About Kaanapali Alii, Lahaina

Location.
Kaanapali Alii is located within the Kaanapali Resort in Kaanapali, Hawaii. The shops and the small whaling museum of the Whalers Village are 4 blocks away. Historic Lahaina, with its restaurants and nightlife, is less than 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) from this condominium resort.

Property Features.
Maui's mist covered mountains rise due east of the Kaanapali Alii. To the west, the Pacific Ocean's azure waters lap onto the golden sands of Kaanapali Beach, consistently named as one of America's best beaches. The heart of this condominium resort is its palm-studded children's pool area, which contains the fitness center and an entertainment pavilion with barbecue grills. For rest and sunbathing, adjustable chaise lounges ring a stone deck. The beach beckons across the Kaanapali boardwalk, which runs the length of the beach and connects neighboring resorts.

An activities desk can assist guests with various bookings, including diving, parasailing, and dinner cruises. A seasonal Kid's Club provides children with vouchers good for complimentary activities and discounts. Three lighted tennis courts allow for night play. Spa services and treatments can be scheduled for some relaxation.

Guestrooms.
Four 11-story buildings feature one- and two-bedroom condominium units. Rooms facing the west offer ocean and pool views, while rooms facing the east offer garden and mountain views. Kitchen, dining, and sitting areas lead to separate bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchens come with refrigerators, microwave ovens, stoves, and conventional ovens. Blenders, coffeemakers, toasters, cookware, dishes, and utensils are included. Sitting areas offer entertainment centers with televisions and DVD players; all bedrooms feature television. Wireless Internet access is available for free.

Loved it!
Our unit was in great condition! Having a full bed in the den for what really was a second bedroom was a bonus. Great location and the staff were excellent!

One of the best hotels I've ever visited
I didn't realize this was a timeshare condo facility, which is sometimes a bad thing, depending on the unit you get. I our case, Unit 296 was simply remarkable, marble and stainless steel everywhere, completely furnished full kitchen, with high end appliances and all utensils (including a set of german cutlery...), two full baths and bedrooms, separate A/C zones for the two bedrooms and kitchen/living room/dining room, absolutely top notch bathrooms. Washer/dryer in unit. Dead silent, never heard another guest from inside our room, or from anything outside. Pool and beach area were very nice (no bar, though - but Cuisinart blender in the room...), and completely uncrowded (May 6-10). Extremely helpful bellman. Several restaurants within walking distance. I am very critical when warranted, and I travel a lot so I know good from bad from great - this was unexpectedly really great. This is a truly excellent family vacation hotel (in our case two parents with two adult children).

Missing Alii already.
Updated room, spacious and comfortable. Great views and quiet. Must go to adjacent hotels for restaurants, pools do not have slides, etc for small kids, grilling at beach nice. Went to Oahu for rest of this vacation and wish we had stayed @ Alii.. Waikiki was a big step down from there (too many people/noise here)
