Skip Belize
The condo was very nice but overall I couldn't recommend Belize as a destination. Too dirty; difficult to get around. Local stores have little to offer. We were very disappointed that we couldn't swim in the nearby shore due to a huge amount of sea grass - also very smelly.

The room was nice. The hotel should have done a better job of cleaning up the seaweed along the shore. The kitchen faucet was terrible. The water spurted everywhere when you used it. Not good that coffee filters were not provided. The only coffee filters available at the little grocery store we were directed to were almost $40 US for 200 filters, which was ludicrous.

Bed Bug Warning- Do not stay here!
We can home thinking the mosquitos were bad only too find out we had bed bug bites. We are covered with them ( bites in groups of three and four) and now have to fumigate all our cloths and luggage. One of the twin beds in unit 10 has been resently uninated on. The ordor was evident when we removed the sheets due to the bed bugs bites. We requested several times for mosquitos to be sprayed by our front door. How many times should you have to ask? Also, they provided us with three beach towels that were rags and told us we would be charged $35.00 for each one we didn't return. DO NOT STAY HERE! Many of the amenities they advertise are located at their sister resort two complexes down the beach. The pool is difficult to enter and exit. They only have the ladder on the side off the pool. It was impossible for my Mother to enter the pool.

Great Place to Stay
There were a few minor issues, but hey, this is Ambergris Caye, expect a few quirky things. I would rent a bike if you need one that is better maintained than the ones that are there. The salt air really hits the mechanical parts of a bike hard. I couldn't find a mop and bucket or I would have mopped the floors. Tile is hard to keep clean at any beachfront condo. They take the hammocks down at night fall, so plan your siesta early. Robyn's across the street and about 100 yards away has awesome Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Pork. A piece of homemade banana bread, a bottle of water and half chicken dinner for $8 US. Best value we had all week. Pool was great. Little drink cabana was great. Staff was great. Wifi was a little spotty, but BTL was in the area upgrading, so that may have caused some outages. Would stay there again, but I would try to get a right side building unit. The left side building units are going to be impacted by the building that is planned next door for months if not years. So a little more noise coming.for unit 6 that we stayed in. I'd give it a 4.5 but there's no way to do that on this rating system.
