The Dominican, Brussels
A little strange...
The hotel was a little too "overdone". Felt a little bit like a nightclub with cheesy decor. The hotel smelled like it was doused in a strange perfume and it played strange monk chanting music in the elevators.

Nice hotel, strange theme
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and in a great location which are my top requirements. However it has a weird church-like theme to it. Maybe I should have realized this before booking, but I didn't so I was surprised by the Gregorian chanting in the elevators and chuch incense smell in the hallways. I'm not writing this to deter anyone, the service was fantastic, just not your normal European hotel!

Refined and low-key quality
Definitely where I'll keep staying when in Brussels.
