Very Good8.0
In the room we stayed in had tiny holes in the curtains. The menu for the café was not very good. Dinner in the restaurant was buffet only Wed - Sun at $54 p/h.

QT Port Douglas is the poor cousin of the brand
If you love QT be warned this IS NOT like any of their other properties... The front office Manager (who had heard it all before) explained they are the only 4 Star (I wouldn’t even give it 3) offering in the 5 Star portfolio and they offer a different more laid back experience - apparently this is their excuse for what you don’t expect from QT. On re-reviewing the website I couldn’t find this not even in the fine print, just a lot of hype about the restaurant/resort that they failed so miserably on. Their is a general lack of staff across the property (apparently 4 Star), which means you won’t be greeted by bell hops, you’ll have to wait ages for food and drinks, reception and like us either sit with dirty plates on your tables or clear them yourselves! The resort is showing its age and cheap QT makeover, the rooms grubby and if you want a good nights sleep forget it! The beds are a metal frame (think campbed) with a mattress oh that’s so old it sags in the middle... and if you ask for a king get ready to keep falling down the crack in the middle between the 2 beds. We all should think green but seriously our sheets weren’t changed once in the 6 night stay.. we even came back to find an M&M (which i’d dropped while eating them in bed) in our made bed! The restaurant food is of poor quality with little choice. Wi-fi forget it in your room. And when the resort is busy forget a sunbed as the locals get first dibs. Bill incorrect and still trying to get a resolution!

Disappointing.... Walls were paper thin and heard kids crying at all hours Sheets weren't changed over 4 days Tray wasn't cleaned at all Bathroom needed a good clean Free bikes advertised on website weren't available anymore but you could pay to hire Wifi was terrible... couldn't even load a page Very disappointing. Exvpected so much more from QT!

Awesome resort
The resort is really good, have nothing to complain about. Facilities such as pool, gym and restaurant are great and match the images available on the website. Thumbs up for the $10 discount that you get each day you don't use housekeeping, great initiative in helping the environment. Had a fabulous relaxing time at QT and would definitely stay there again.

Disappointing and confused.
The staff were very helpful but I found the hotel confusing. It appeared very family friendly but then had a very noisy and drunken afternoon pool party that excluded any guest who didn't want to be around that. Hot items on breakfast buffet were cold. Spa was excellent and the highlight of my stay.
