Never again!
We arrived at night and could not find the "hotel." The lettering was on a door and was not visible from the street. And it was blocked by scaffolding. We could not get in; no one is there because it is not really a hotel but a small apartment building. We were directed to park our rental car at a public parking lot about four blocks away--and this was 10p.m. It cost $40 to park it there. Then we had to tote our bags there and climb 60 steps up to our small room. I was looking forward to a good night's sleep; the bed had four pillows; only two had pillow cases on them. I called and requested more for the following day but we did not receive them for our three-night stay and both my husband and I could have used them. The towel rack in the bathroom was coming off the wall so we had to drape the wet towels over the shower, etc. We could not move around freely because the room was so small. There were only three hangers, one of which was a small one for a child's clothes. There was not even a Kleenex box.

Friendly staff, but everything was broken
The staff was very friendly, the location was close to the T and very quiet, but the room itself was a mess. It was hot when we got into the room, and we were told the air conditioning hadn't been working properly all summer. There was a ceiling fan, but it rattled when you turned it on high. Our microwave was broken, and we were told a new one would be there within the hour, but 3 days later, we had to talk to staff to get a new one. They pulled out the original mounted on the wall and gave us one on the table, leaving a gaping hole in the wall that I'm pretty sure isn't up to code. The internet was spotty and so slow that it was basically useless. Overall, the room was dirty and not kept up, though the bedding was clean, and the water was hot, if a bit hard to use because the temperature control knob was cracked. This hotel was not worth the price, and I wish I'd gone elsewhere.

nice apartment-style hotel
Overall, we were pleased with the Christopher. The location was great and we were able to walk to a lot of the sights Boston has to offer. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful when we wanted to store our bags after check-out on our last afternoon. We like staying at apartment-style hotels to save a little money by eating in a few meals, and The Christopher had an all-the-basics kitchen. Our only complaint was that the walls were thin. The first night, we didn't have neighbors and it was great. The second night, it sounded like someone was in the room with us. Bring your earplugs and it will be fine.

Nice Room
The stay was fine. I was hardly there. The wireless never worked and given I was there for business that was rather frustrating. The hair dryer wasn't clean. Just an odd thing to find unclean

House Away From Home
Great location. I really liked that I didn't have to check in or out. They send you an email with the access codes and that's it. Fantastic. I would highly recommend for long stays or traveling with friends or family.
