Other Things to Note
Please note that Dubai has applicable Tourism Dirham charges for all guests staying in apartments, resorts and hotels. Any such applicable charges may be collected upon arrival at a rate of 10 AED per night per bedroom (~ 4 USD). Also, since 1 January 2018, all rates are subject to a UAE Government VAT rate of 5%. This rate will be applied as per applicable laws and may be paid upon arrival.
The Neighbourhood
Downtown Dubai is the dynamic hub of this burgeoning young city, filled with the regions biggest and the world’s greatest attractions such as The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination, The Dubai Fountain, the world’s tallest performing fountain and of course the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. All of which are a short walking distance from the apartment, along with the Dubai Opera House and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, the vibrant thoroughfare dotted with cafes and retail outlets.
Whenever you’re ready to head out into the city, a 10-minute taxi will take you to trendy DIFC for fine dining experiences Dubai style. For those lazy beach days, a taxi will get you to the Arabian Gulf in 5 minutes and for the more adventurous traveller, how about venturing out to Dubai Creek and taking a Dhow Dinner Cruise. When you’re ready to explore the city further afield, you can take the Dubai Metro or an RTA taxi. Uber and other car services are also available and widely used throughout the Emirate.
