Just OK. People are not joking that this place being loud. it's fine after 11pm but before that time with the windows closed and on the 2nd floor it is super loud. If you don't get back to the room until after 11pm, it would be fine. Also don't expect to swim since the pool is either filled with non -guests or you swimming next to someone who is eating.

Quirky Boutique Motel Quick To Resolve Issues
I have stayed at The Pearl twice before without any problems. We stayed here for one night while in town. The Pearl is definitely more "quirky boutique motel" than "luxury hotel," but that's great for people who favor such accommodations. The staff as always is impeccably attentive and friendly and the ambiance is a fun, retro vibe. Our first room this stay had a distinct dampness in the air, the carpet felt sticky and made my 1 year old's feet solid black when he walked on it. After laying down for the night I felt wetness and smelled a horrid sour smell. Upon getting up and investigating there was a pretty disgusting spot of what seemed to be mold or something on the pillow and sheets. Perhaps it was because it was on the first floor near the pool? I went to the front desk to ask for a change of sheets and since house keeping was out, we were given another room. The front desk attendant was very sweet about it. The second room was clean and comfortable. We went on a Wednesday during the dive-in movie which was adorable and not too loud as to disturb you if you want to go to bed early. Parking in one of the hotel's 10 parking spots was an additional $12. The staff here is definitely the shining star of this establishment.

This little quaint hotel is a little gem.
This little quaint hotel is a little gem. The staff was very friendly and professional, had a nice stay, with the exception of the very hard mattress. Would have been great with a memory foam mattress top.

A fun, funky blast from the past.
We loved our stay at the Pearl hotel. The hotel almost perfectly transports you into the 70s, which we loved. It is well kept up and interesting (with the exception of the bathroom in our room which could probably use some updates). All the rooms face the pool area, so it can get a little noisy, but the rest of our experience outweighed this inconvenience. About 1.2 miles from the hotel (we walked) is a GREAT area called liberty station with tons of fun restaurants. We had a few great meals and cocktails there during our stay.
