    Awesome 50th Birthday Weekend
    I booked this hotel with friends for my 50th birthday and it was amazing. Everyone of the staff was pleasant, helpful and just plain nice. The spa was superb, came home feeling relaxed and still relaxed 2 days later. Only thing I would change was the description of the room. Garden View Suites, seems like you would be viewing the Garden, not so much. However, the room was terrific. I plan to return in the fall. Great place for couples and singles. Town is a nice 20 minutes walk, Lisbon is 45 minutes on the train.

    Pretty but needs work
    Beautiful setting but needs maintenance and cleaning. Carpets in rooms had horrible stains, and standalone shower was filled with mold. Showerhead barely worked. Beds were stiff in the furniture dated and very beat up. The main parts of the hotel where in nice shape but the rooms were lacking. One room's bathroom had a leak behind the wall and the wall was crumbling. Service was slow but friendly at the restaurants. Would not recommend at this time. This place could be great if they spend some money on much needed maintenance.
