So I came from out of state to a family event and this hotel was near the venue. I reserved the suite. When I got there, I was checked in and provided my keys to my room. When I entered the room I noticed that one of the lights was out, which made the room darker than I was comfortable with. Then I noticed that it was not a suite. It was just a regular room. I immediately went to the front desk to find out if it was a mistake. The person at the front desk then informed me that the suite was not available because of renovations but then he contradicted himself by saying that the ac was not working. I don’t understand why I was never told this when I first checked in. He said I could cancel my reservation and he could give me a $20 discount to reserve a regular room. He also offered 50% for my next visit. I was only there for my family event and I don’t anticipate ever staying there again. Anyways, I ended up staying because I didn’t want to be late to my scheduled event by looking for another place to stay. I contacted a hotels.com chat rep who contacted the front desk and was only given a $20 refund. The following day I noticed some bugs in the room I even took photos of it. I want to say this was one of my worst experiences.
