Our stay at this hotel was Most Pleasant, considering the our previous Wyndham Detroit Hotel, stay which was a NIGHTMARE 😱😱😱!!! The Room was Clean and Smelled Fresh. ALL, of my minor request, were granted. The Staff and Cleaning Service Personel, were Sooooo Attentive and Helpful. The Hotel, doesn't look like Much from the Outside but, the Inside/Rooms, are GREAT!!! THIS HOTEL, Is a WONDERFUL PLACE, to stay 🤗🤗🤗!!!

Bad.
Even though I booked a smoking room. There were cigarette holes everywhere in the room. Literally everywhere. There was also a dead moth on the carpet in the lobby. People smoking cigarettes walking throughout the hotel.

Definitely avoid
I felt bad for the guy at checkin, as it was his first night and he obviously had been thrown into the deep end with little training, so I give him a pass. But the chairs in the lobby were so disgustingly filthy, I would not put my suitcase in them. No elevator . . . not good for a person who uses a walker. Carpet on stairs was threadbare. Room keys didn't work but we discovered it didn't matter because you could just push the door open. Room had that musty, dank smell of something that has been put away wet. Floor of bathroom had every single tile cracked from poor installation. Ceiling above shower was peeled back so that bare wood of the roof was visible. Shower rod was even installed correctly- hanging from screws that were barely clinging to wall for their dear life. A/C was on full blast to cover smell but room couldn't get anywhere near cool. Light bulb hanging from socket. Front of credenza/TV stand was hanging on its hinges. Microwave, mini-fridge, alarm clock, TV and lampswere all unplugged. Two burner electric stove (WTH?) was broken. Faucet handle for "kitchen" was broken off. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Mold around floor in several places. Red crayon marks on the wall. Peeling paint everywhere. The only good thing I can say is that the room was a good size. It was marginally better than sleeping in my vehicle on the side of the road.

This place treats its guests like trash.
After learning that my connecting flight was delayed I called the hotel to let them know I would be arriving later than originally thought. I was told that my room would not be held and there would be no guarantee of getting a room and then the manager hung up on me saying that he had customers in front of him. So basically in the middle of traveling, I was told that I wouldn't have a place to stay upon arrival. With limited time on a layover and then knowing I was going to arrive in the middle of the night, I had to try and find a place to go in a city I was unfamiliar with. That was unnecessary stress to add to an already stressful situation. What a garbage thing to do to someone else.
