Okay
It was okay nothing extravagante but did the job for one night.there was a cigarret burn on the main cover and more cigarret burns on the wood, not the nicest owner as well.the restroom and sink are remodled wich are nice but the beds pillows and dresser need some renewing

A decent place to stay at a decent price
The couple that ran it were extremely friendly and nice. The room was small and very basic, but I expected that for the price. It was very clean and in good repair. And that, frankly, is all I really ask. It wasn't The Ritz, but if one is looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the Monterey area, this is a solid choice. It also seems to be in a good location with lots of dining locations within a short walk of the hotel and only 15-20 minutes drive to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. My only complaint, really, is that the beds were really, really, REALLY firm.

Nothing special with this hotel. I've stayed at many higher quality hotels for much cheaper. The customer service was absolutely non-existent...

Updated but not great
Check-in went smoothly and the room was clean and recently renovated. The layout was weird but that didn't really bother us. Our Queen bed turned out to be a double which sucked but considering it was a major holiday weekend we didn't bother trying to switch rooms. Hated the shutters on the windows since they do not black out the room at night but oh well. The bed was horrible though because it was so LOUD. Any movement sounded like we were rolling around on thick, crinkley plastic.... Parking was just ok but come early in the evening to get a spot. Overall the room was ok but I doubt I'd stay here again due to the bed.
