Over-Priced Out-Dated Hotel
Check out process took 20 minutes and three men to figure it out. Why pay Hotels.Com when the hotel is going to charge me anyway? Very incompetent people at the front desk upon departure. My colleague who checked out later had a similar experience. Lots of work to be done in training the staff, and in improving the hotel conditions. I will never stay here again. Hotel Du Vin is a much better value with a great staff, great food, and nice rooms.

Beautiful location and friendly staff
Great hotel, great staff, just be aware that lift does not go to the top floor which can be a pain with luggage.

Great hotel with stunning views.
Food was good in restaurant but room service breakfast fairly mediocre , no butter with toast , fruit salad horrible and scrambled eggs over cooked , eggs Benedict ok. My own fault as should have asked for room near lift as I was on crutches. Was at furthest room away from them! Needed to use pool for physio on legs but they were down in the dungeons lost count of how many stairs I climbed which is hard on crutches. However as a very last minute trip with my mum as we knew weather was going to be great we had a fabulous time away.

Good views and location and perfect for toddlers
Perfect for a toddler - a quiet, warm pool, with flotation jackets/devices provided, softplay (although a bit remote and cold), outdoor sandy playground, right on the beach and even the "cheap" rooms have a good view over Poole Harbour. Returned for the second year running, having enjoyed my stay last year, but it wasn't quite up to scratch. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extensive (although it would've been nice to have scrambled eggs). But there were a couple of minor problems with the room - the bath drained very slowly, a couple of spotlights were out, the cleaners came too early (while we were at breakfast, before we'd showered - so we ended up with one set of towels and toiletries to last us for a 2 night stay), we were woken by a fire alarm at 1am with no explanation or apology.

Oh, the views.
We could pretty much forgive this hotel for anything once we had seen the views. From the bedroom window we had the sweep of Poole Harbour, it was stunning, especially at dusk. From the other side of the hotel, the long sandy beach - beautiful. The hotel is dated, even threadbare in places but, for one night, we didn't care! Breakfast buffet was very good. Plenty of parking.
