Great Stay
Very good experience in line with what other travelers have said. Room small, but clean. Bathroom good size with good amenities. Housekeeping excellent. Front desk had adequate English. Ginza area very upscale and not allot there for your average tourist except expensive shopping. However, trains and taxis close by to reach other areas. Price was good. Highly recommend this hotel if you know beforehand that you will not getting a suite at a Marriott. Would return.

There was a false fire alarm, very annoying. Hotel staff made an apology to us in the next morning. In general, it was a good stay.

Nice Hotel
Rather a nice hotel in the ritzy Ginza area. The rooms were descent size for Japanese hotels and the location was great. We were just a block and a half from Ginza area and 15 min walk from Tokyo station with lots of shops and restaurants although one night we had problem finding a place to eat as everything we liked was either closed or had long wait time so we finally settled on a Chinese restaurant. We did have a bit of a problem finding the hotel as the taxi driver took us to the wrong hotel Monterey. The staff at the wrong hotel was very helpful and gave us a map and direction to the correct hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza which was two blocks away. Got the feeling this was not the first time that had happened. One very minor issue that when the room was quiet I kept hearing a phone ring from time to time. I finally figured it out that it was the noise that the elevators were making when they go floor to floor and it would resonate through the walls to our room which was 3-4 room away. Fortunately it was not bad enough to keep me awake at night even though I am a light sleeper. Also one elevator was really quick to shut the door on you so the four of us kept getting hit by the doors until we started holding the open door button. Also in some hotels it was really hard to figure out the HDMI port on the TV to use our Roku stick due to language barriers, but it was easy here. Overall we liked our rooms and our stay.

French style, boutique hotel in Ginza
Charming but very tiny hotel on the northeast end of Ginza area by Ginza 1-chome. Close to Matsuya Dept store. Very convenient to expensive shopping and Ginza's famous 4-chome intersection. Walkable to Tsukiji, Tokyo Station (15~20 min or so). Convenient to numerous subway train lines to get you almost anywhere. Be warned, the rooms are tiny! Not the kind of rooms for "hanging out". Nor is the hotel, as there is really no common or public space for lounging. Having more than one large suitcase in your room or doing lots of shopping will quickly lead you to run out of space. Friendly staff, if not the most capable – no concierge types here. But if you plan to spend all day everyday out and about, this charming place works. We got the breakfast included. This hotel offers a very elegant French breakfast, but we quickly tired of the two options they offered and opted to visit the sister hotel Hotel Monterey Ginza just around the corner which offered a fantastic western and Japanese buffet style breakfast, included as part of our deal.
