The Inn at Solitude, Solitude
don't be fooled by listings of distance
The hotel is lovely and great location if you are skiing at Solitude or Brighton. However, website VERY misleading if you are not familiar with the area. Website says 5 miles to Alta (which is where my extended family was staying). There is no 5 mile road to Alta and in fact it is 25 through the mountains, which is an hour drive and way. Obviously, have I known that I would have been better off staying pretty much anywhere else closer to Salt lake. The website was deceptive in the 5 mile distance to Alta and this totally ruined my trip as my family was all skinning in Alta. I could not get out of the booking despite this misleading information because it was non-refundable, and I am very disappointed at the customer service regarding this incident. If your website lists false information, I think you should own up to it, and nobody cares about distance as the crow flies but as how you can actually drive it. I was offered to cancellation and not even partial refund.

my flight to SLC was cancelled due to winter storm Ramsey in NYC and I had no way to get there. despite my explanation and appeal, the hotel refused to give me any credit at all and charged me in full despite my inability to check in due to cancelled flight. this is a despicable approach to clients and taking advantage of my misfortune. shame on you. Will never consider staying there again.

There is no air conditioning and it's not chilly at night. But a beautiful resort in a beautiful area

everything is awesome besides the food
Great staff great location to ski, the parking can be a bit sketchy and icy at times and walking around the village. The nightlife and food is pretty poor due to no competition. bar closes at 9 or 10pm on a friday, and the food at the nice restaurant and the bar is pretty sub par. Very friendly staff everywhere you go in solitude. The wifi is super slow.
