A great place to escape to and relax!
We had a 3-night stay at the Sylvia hotel and LOVED it. The room was big enough for us to easily relax in, and while slow at times the wi-fi was mostly reliable. The shower did make a strange squawking sound at first, but stopped after just a bit. Beds were very comfortable and the restaurant was tasty and full of friendly waitstaff. The hotel was in a great location to walk to Stanley Park, around English Bay, and to downtown when we didn't feel like driving in the slush. We'd definitely stay here again for sure!

Family weekend at perfect hotel
The Sylvia Hotel is located close to the many activities our family was interned in: Stanley Park, Waterfront/Beach, & diverse restaurants, making our short stay eventful. Staff in the hotel & lounge was extremely friendly & helpful. We also enjoyed the old world charm of the Sylvia. NOTE: The city is very walkable, which is good because the taxi service is unreliable.

Very cute hotel. This was my first time in Vancouver and I wasn't exactly sure what the neighborhoods were like. Although this hotel wasn't the best location for if you like going out at night and want to be right in the center of actions, it is great for more outdoorsy activities. Also, it's only like a 45 minute leisurely walk to areas like Gas Town if you like to walk like I do.
