It all worked all right. However, as a Scandinavian, I'm not so used to Australian transparency efforts. There were SO many signs and reminders of don't do this and don't do that and all the fines that would be released, if you did any anyway. I found that somewhat over the top.

Avoid it at all cost
The apartment is dated and in need of serious renovation. The bathroom is tired and looks like it's from the 60's. No toiletries were provided. The bed was uncomfortable with springs underneath. Also it had wheels and kept rolling around each time you tried to get up or sit. We stayed for 3 nights and not even once the apartment was serviced. I know it's advertised as a vacation rental but an ocassional refreshing of towels etc... should be done. No dishwasher. You are expected to clean out the trash and wash, dry and keep all the utensils in their place when you leave otherwise there's a $55 penalty. I thought that's a bit much and haven't seen such absurd rules anywhere else. Not worth the money. Would advise against staying here. Plenty of better options around.

Really nice to have a full kitchen. Just a few blocks away from the crowds means it's a bit quieter. Front desk was closed for much of our weekend, though.

Good room, great staff, not quite so good internet
The hotel was really good for the most part. The only reason I marked down the service is that they have limited hours and there isn't always someone there. Sometimes this can become an issue if you have to do after hours check in. They also ask that you physically check in the following morning. We had some issues with this since we had tours booked beyond their office hours. However an email to the front desk took care of that and they didn't seem to have an issue. The room itself was good for the price. It's basically a small apartment and comes with a small kitchen too. This can potentially save you a lot of money if you go grocery shopping and cook food in the room, rather than eating out every night. They don't clean the room every day, and they tell you that up front. I honestly don't need my room cleaned every day like at a standard hotel, so I was fine with that. The internet is also a little spotty. One of us was usually able to maintain a connection, but due to some odd limits and an odd service they use for internet, they sometimes over limit the number of devices you can connect to the wifi. It was really bad considering we also did pay for the premium internet which you need if you want to use certain programs like Skype. The only improvement needed is they need more reliable internet. The staff is very nice and accommodating though.

Nice hotel
Room was clean, front desk was helpful and friendly and helped us book tours and taxis to the airport. Wifi was free and the signal was strong in our room. Location was safe and we were able to walk everywhere. Overall a very good stay for the price paid.
