Overwater Bungalows
Amazing all around. Very comfortable and the over water bungalows are worth every penny.

Overwater Bungalows. Do it.
We stayed two nights in the regular waterfront bungalows and another two in the over water bungalows. If you can afford the upgrade, definitely do it! The rooms are much more spacious, the showers are nicer and there was a lot more privacy. We didn't particularly like that our waterfront bungalows also faced a public walkway, which meant that unless we wanted our room exposed to everyone walking by at all hour, we had to keep our blinds shut. The hotel staff was super hospitable and kind, but it felt like we had to ask for all the answers as opposed to being told what was going on. For instance, we didn't have TV service in our overwater room and it was only when we called to ask about it that we were told service didn't reach that far and they would provide an internet voucher to help accomodate. We also booked a private charter for a 1/2 day boat excursion, were told they would come directly to our rooms to pick us up at 10a only to find that we needed a ticket from the front desk (that we were not provided when we made the purchase) and that the boat captain was waiting for us by the activities but instead of coming to get us. All in all, very minor details and didn't spoil our trip in the slightest, but I'm hoping this feedback helps make the property even better as we'd love to come back!

Would stay here again
The private grounds and views are amazing. The front desk staff and grounds keepers were friendly. The wait staff at the restaurant lacked. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and made you want to stay longer!

Beautiful but needs more drinking water
it was beautiful and the food was really good. Be warned though that the hotel does not have running fresh water. They say they'll give you drinking water whenever you request it, but they ran out for a whole day during our stay and would usually only give us 1 bottle per day for two people. Not ideal. Overall, beautiful place and the rooms are great (especially the outdoor showers!). Highly recommend kayaking to the nearby private islands

Most Beautiful Hotel in Aitutaki, But Bad Service
If you go to Aitutaki, this is THE hotel to stay at! Everything about this hotel is incredible except two things: service and wifi. The service was honestly below average, from checkin to checkout. The staff not once went above and beyond. Additionally, the staff was never willing to work for guest requests and we often got the "that can't be done" or "no" when we requested even the most basic of things. However, this hotel is truly at the most beautiful spot in Aitutaki, so I still recommend staying here. The rooms are large and the Air Con works great. PROs: - Beauty, scenery, ease to walk to beach and grab your own kayak - Clean rooms, comfortable beds, room has table with chairs and a refrigerator - Privacy on your own island CONs: - ZERO working wifi in the room (when it's supposed to). - Poor customer service. Staff just didn't care. Some staff actually talked down to you. Most of the time, the staff talks AT you and not WITH you. However, Va at the beach bar was fantastic! - Food not good at main restaurant. Breakfast is only cold dishes and dinner was very basic buffet. I recommend boating across the lagoon and walking to a nearby restaurant.

Good but need a bit of refresh
Good location, friendly staff, but the place is noticeably old and need a bit of a refresh. Some things needs to be kept in a better shape. For example the door to our bungalow was getting constantly stuck, and the lock was getting jammed to the point where the key broke, needed to get someone to fix it, and the guys fixing it had to repair the door as well. The breakfast that's included is really minimal and is pretty much the same every single day. In general the food aspect of the place, in my opinion needs some thorough review. There is not much activities on the premises other than enjoying the water. So for food and things to do - you want to head out of the resort. But for quite time enjoying white sand and crystal clear waters - it is a good place.

From the owner couple to all of the employees we met there were very helpful and kind. The place and the facility were both great. A piece of paradise indeed. The only negative was ants, small but lots of them, that were in the room. We stayed during raining days, very wet, which obviously was the cause of ants in the room.

Unpleasant service and poor conditions
This was a very disappointing stay. Immediately when I arrived, I was treated differently from the couples staying there. I wasn't greeted with coconuts to drink or 450mb wifi vouchers. There is not much of a beach, and the sand that is there is mostly dirt and stones. The water was not clear like around the rest of the island. I was told the boat that takes you across from the main island to the hotel island runs until 11pm, so I came back from dinner at 10:40 to total darkness. The phone by the dock didn't work, so I was preparing myself to swim across in my clothes and holding my purse. I finally found a nice family who knew someone who worked at the hotel, so they made a call and eventually got me across. When I got to my room, I found they had come for turn down service. They left the back door to the outside shower open and the lights on so my room was filled with bugs--I tried to spray them but woke up bitten everywhere. After I checked out (before 10am), I stayed on the property and one of the front desk ladies said I should not be on the property if I have checked out. I felt very unwanted the whole time. They also didn't want to give me a ride to Tamanu (where I stayed the next night) but finally did when I said I would walk and they said they wouldn't allow that. The woman made a huge deal about how she shouldn't be driving me (the booking includes free pickup/drop off). The stay was a huge contrast to my stay at Tamanu, which was cheaper and better in every way.

Very nice, not quite as luxurious as billed and somewhat limited offerings, but nice and friendly, helpful people. A bit on the expensive side for what it is
