Weird shower--also they give the worst rooms in the hotel to hotel.com guests. This my 4th time to stay at the hotel. Two of those using hotel.com. I complained that the room was not as nice when I booked through hotel.com and they acknowledged that the hotel.com guest received the worst rooms.

Too long wait
Had in sit in small lobby to 5:45 pm checking 3 pm. And only asking for my money back did they finally give me a room. Other quest waiting I was last one to get room an hour after. The reason they were short of help. Not the guest problem. They final 5:30 said I had a room but then said no because it was a upgraded room with a view . They did send a small wine up and nut . I don't drink. The coffee maker also didn't work for tea called it was suggested I didn't know what I was doing took 2 visit to get it to work. I have stayed here before because of location close to family. Not again.

Poor first impression
Stay was great BUT checkin was the worst. Waited 45 minutes before room was ready. Other than that room was great.

Nice Boutique hotel that was on sale......
Overall a decent hotel, a bit of an industrial and mixed use neighborhood but that is OK with me. The A/C was not that cold but I did not complain since it was not too hot outside, I opened the balcony door. The best part was the staff, very friendly, very helpful, go out of their way to try and accommodate requests. I would stay here again if I was in the area and they had a decent (sale) price.

Pretty Terrible but Pretty though
The customer service and surrounding neighborhood is great. That is where the good stops. I entered the room and noticed a dark stain on the decorative bed runner. No biggie. The room was also sweltering hot. The a/c was running on high but was blowing warm air. I restarted the unit, turned it off, change the settings and mode several times to no avail. I left for my event and when I returned the room was still sweltering hot. I called the front lobby and was told that it could not be fixed tonight because there were no maintenance personnel available. The front lobby personnel spoke with the manager about moving my room, I was told that it was not possible because my room type wasn’t available. I was then told the manager would give me a discount for the inconvenience upon checkout. I decided to just deal with it and receive the discount in the morning. I had to sleep with the balcony door open just to breathe that night. I checked out the next day and was told the discount wasn’t possible because I prepaid for my room through Expedia (which I didn't unless that is how hotels dot com books their rooms.) The stay was unpleasant but the check in/out was smooth and the neighborhood offers a lot to those exploring the city. I would never stay again. There are way better options. The parking is free but limited and the hotel is hard to find. It is also in the middle of a construction zone which started at 530am and since I had my door open to outside that was a nice wakeup call.
