Jack is the friendliest innkeeper I have ever met! He greeted me at the door with a big smile and a friendly handshake, and makes it a point to call every guest by name. If you need ANYthing he is eager to help! He’s also a really nice guy to chill with and chat for a while. This is a great place, and it’s like a two block walk to the metro. Def visit the Cathedral nearby.

Nice place, need to warn guests about the stairs
Lovely simple affordable place in a great location - but beware, you may be carrying your luggage up three flights of stairs.

Review of Kalorama Guest House
The manager was very helpful and made every effort to meet our needs. He definitely deserves five stars for his professionalism. The breakfast was good and plenty was available. The Guest House is located in a great neighborhood and is close to good restaurants and a Metro station. The only negative aspect to our stay was that parts of the building are in need of refurbishment, such as new carpeting and painting. With a few key improvements, I would give it the highest rating.

Short but Sweet Stay
Nice guest house/B&B location. Close enough to get to key sites but in a quiet residential area. Very close to Metro line, which is a plus. Being met at the door with cookies is pretty sweet too!
