Great location!!!
Great location. Rooms and common areas are very clean. The only downside is that the hot water does not work great. Sometimes we had hot water, but most of the time it was barely like warm.

Valet Jitters
My husband was upset initially when we arrived because he did not like that fact of valet parking and how the cars were "sardined in the parking lot. He tried to explain to the valets that we just got our vehicle. We are in our 50's and we have a handicap permit displayed and it made no difference to them. However, when we met Alston the valet he was very understandable and parked us in the handicap parking which was the first empty parking space that he told us was reserved for employees and no one used it. He put my husbands mind at ease immediately by stating"I will park your equinox here so that it is easy for you to go in and out"."If we need the space we will let you know before we move it". He was more courteous than the other valets. Overall the staff was excellent. Our room was clean but a little dusty. The gym was small but adequately equipped. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to get in the hot tub or pool. It was a little disappointing the microwave was not in the room but in the lobby. The Bistro food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

Charming
Not that we could afford it but booked for 2 nights because of no power from Hurricane Irma. Had to get my 81 year old mom out of the heat. I wish we could’ve brought our chihuahua and Yorkie though. The bed was so comfortable. We loved the charm of it. So old and so much character.Loved the marble staircase and the old elevator floor counter. Disappointed that cafe was not open for any breakfast and not much selection in the machines. My mom said if we ever won lotto we’d love to come stay again and bring our scooters so we could explore downtown. We’ve lived here since 1965 but haven’t been downtown in years. The staff was great. The dark haired husky guy helped us carry our stuff upstairs because no cart available so I pushed my mom’s wheelchair and he carried 2 oxygen tanks and pulled the suitcase.

Nice hotel in St. Petersburg downtown
Courtyard by Marriott in St. Petersburg is a very nice hotel with amenities like an indoor swimming pool, gym and restaurant. It's close to St. Petersburg downtown restaurants, shops, parks and the bay, and also near the spectacular Dalí Museum, with impressive paintings of the famous Spanish artist. The hotel is also a short drive from the beaches.

Bad for business, no room service, no microwave
Not good for business. The wifi is not secure and I got a virus from it while I was there. They have no way for you to print anything from your laptop. There is a printer there, but you can only connect to it from their computer. Only some rooms have a microwave--ours didn't--even though they advertise one. You have to go to the first floor to use the microwave there. No room service food. You have to go to the first floor and eat in the cafe there. No breakfast included. We had to stay here as it was one of the only rooms left in St Pete that had power after hurricane Irma. We are used to getting all these amenities and a secure internet for about $70 less per night. The room itself was nice and not in need of any repairs except the TV which flickered on and off. Unfortunately they didn't fix that until later on the 2nd day of our 3-day stay. No TV Guide. Staff was nice. I loved that the hotel had no smells as I'm ultra sensitive--great for Fibromyalgia sufferers. Having a tub was nice. Nothing looked like it was unkept or in need of repair. Nice and clean.
