Stay here!
I LOVED this hotel. It was quiet, small, elegant, unique, in a great area. The breakfast (part of the package) was delicious - I don't think I have experienced a waffle as delicious and so full of flavor as was served here. The thick, exposed stone walls somehow made the rooms feel cozy and inviting. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I will definitely stay here my next visit

a place with character
the hotel is lovely with a lot of character, the room was comfy and clean, but some of the common areas and furniture could use a little update, with the same furniture just some re tapestry and keep the birds area cleaner

Over the top renaissance charm in old Montreal
Pierre du Calvet is just as over the top as it looks in pictures, and it is lovely! Service is stellar, the interior is very cool, and the continental breakfast in the morning is made to order in their giant dining room. Super convenient area and would be awesome to stay on the water in the summer. Each room has a working fireplace, too! A note: The rooms on the bottom floor are a bit smaller than those on the top two floors- We were a bit surprised as ours looked different from the pictures. It was still quite nice but not as stately as the photos. Make sure if you're on the bottom floor, you ask for a tour of the upper floors as they really show the beauty of the place!
