Undergoing Renovations
The service was kind and friendly, but that was the highlight of our one-evening stay. The hotel is undergoing renovations in their indoor fun area (the new couch graveyard taking the place of the old mini golf). The water for the shower never got above luke warm - though we let it run for nearly five minutes. A family of pill bugs/roly polies had moved into our bathroom. The wall a/c unit could not keep up with the 102 degree temp in Kansas. Breakfast in the morning was lack-luster (though, the service staff was courteous and helpful): fried eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal, waffle machine, pastries. I would check back after the renovations. Had our stay been more than a night in our journey, we should have found a second night somewhere else.

An affordable place to stay in Salina
We had stayed at the same motel years ago before it was remodeled. It has been updated and is much nicer than it used to be, but still very affordable. We were just staying one night, but check-in was easy with reservations and pay in advance. Breakfast was great - large variety of tasty choices and the coffee was good.

CO or Bust
HORRIBLE!, the person checking in couldn't pull up the room requirements that I had requested, we arrived late , I had called & verified my room requirements, his system was down & he couldn't even tell me a room or give me a key , waited over 45 minutes for some type of information & finally got a key. Room smelled of smoke, no A/C, no TV & the shower was not what I needed since I had had a hip replacement. VERY disappointed

It worked
The rooms are nice and clean. The hallway was pretty dirty however, my biggest problem was the fact that I walk with a cane and yet I was put in a room upstairs (no elevator) and just about as far from the office, restaurant, etc. as possible. Also, the beds are rock hard.
