The experience was overall inconvenient, uncomfortable and unclean. The “apartment” was very dirty. It was on the 9th floor but the windows could open all the way up without any way of preventing kids from jumping out, so we didn’t dare to open any windows during our stay, which made it rather hot inside. The lights didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. Parking was inconvenient. You have to go outside the hotel, walk for 100m, go downstairs, walk again and then enter a separate garage. We had problems entering several times and had to call for help. With three kids and a lot of luggage this was a bit of a hassle. The hotel itself is as such located conveniently next to a shopping centre and close to the city centre, however, it doesn’t feel like a nice and safe neighbourhood when you walk outside of the hotel. On the upside, the staff was friendly.

Excellent value for money

I really like Sejours & Affaires, great reception. My room was very comfortable, very nice linens and towels. Nice selection of tea and coffee and a useful note pad and pen. The kitchen area is very good, with a coffee machine, microwave and double hob. Good supply of pans, crockery and utensils. I made soup very easily. Carrefour is just steps away inside EuroLille shopping centre. Lots of places to eat in the area, and very close to Lille Flandres train station ( 2 minute walk ) and 4 minute walk to Lille Europe train station. I have stayed here many times and will continue to return. Excellent value for money.

The apartment hotel is in a tall block part of the Lille Europe complex. It was usefully right next door to the Westfield Shopping Centre and Carrefour. The staff were very nice and tolerated our attempts at French. The room was a bit tired, especially the bathroom, with the toilet discoloured with limescale and the cracked basin draining very slowly. The bed was comfortable although an extra pillow would have been useful. Ear plugs would have been useful as there was a continuous hum from the Westfield Centre air conditioning plant and noise from the station. Also the room fridge compressor was a little noisy, no problem if you were asleep but not if you were struggling to do so. Wifi was good. We didn't use the TV because it had only French language channels. The kitchen equipment is basic but functional. Overall not the best of stays but you get what you pay for.
