Bring ear plugs
Nice place and good service...BUT the Blue Line Appt is right under the railway and the trains are very frequent and very loud

Easy ride to United Center
Stayed for a Blackhawks game. Easy ride down Damon. Got a free upgrade since place wasn't totally booked. Plenty of eats & drinks walking distance on Milwaukee ave. Will probably come back. Would be a fun place with a group.

Chicago getaway
We were traveling to Chicago for a few days and this hotel is in the PERFECT spot! The staff have great recommendations for local, Wicker Park restaurants and it is super close to the train, which makes commuting into downtown way cheaper and easier. The Garden Room has a small kitchen which is handy and the other rooms offer breakfast (pastries, juice, coffee, fruit, etc). Great location, adorable neighborhood, lovely hotel.

Feel like a local.
I booked the Tuscan suite, ground floor, king size bed + twin size, with its own bathroom. It looked spartan at first, but was really comfortable. Robin made me feel welcome and told me to call if there was any problem. The inn sits close to the elevated rail, so not a good choice if you are a light sleeper - not my problem, I slept like a baby. Where the Wicker Park Inn shines is in making you feel like a local. You have your key, can sit under the trees in the yard, grab a piece of fruit or a cup of coffee from the common room, meet real people in a real neighborhood - no "touristy" vibes. There are plenty of restaurants on Division Street nearby. I did not use public transportation, but I understand it is convenient to the Inn. I easily found a cab after walking a couple of blocks to Division or Damen Street. A ride to the Loop costs about $15. I would happily return to the Inn for a longer stay.
