Perfect location downtown
This hotel is a great value for the location. It is right in the center- easy walking around the downtown and to sightseeing areas. It has nice character and a restaurant/ bar. The room was very tiny which was fine - just the essentials which suited us well for this trip (stayed 3 nights). We did have a car and there is a small parking lot where some cars fit (first come type). We could walk to the different gondolas for views and for skiing (and ski rentals). We drove to a hiking spot suggested to us.

Not a bad place
No air conditioning, while it was abnormal for it to be that hot during the time we visited, we suffered do to the heat. We had to leave our windows open and the hotel is located on a busy corner with restaurants located below. Very noisy. Rugs in hotel should be replaced as they have a musty order to them. Besides those items, it was a great location with views of the mountains and walking distance to the shops.

Good location but nothing else
Hotel is in a terrific location - but its all downhill after that. The hotel building itself is quite old. Bathroom had a musty odor the whole time. The front desk could do a better job of communication: for e.g. - guests are entitled to a city card with which they can ride the local buses and trains for free. But the front desk does not tell you until you ask. There is a button to be pressed on the remote if you want to watch local french TV - but the front desk does not tell you about it until you ask (otherwise you see only 4 channels 3 of which are BBC). The front desk staff is really nice and friendly though once you approach them and speak very good english.

Noisy hotel in a great location
Great location, an all Swedish staff which were friendly, however, thats about all that's interesting with this hotel. It was sooooo noisy! I have stayed here twice in the past year. This first visit I wrote off as unfortunate luck with a rowdy group at the hotel that kept the noise level to the max all night. However, having the same thing happen this year with my second visit makes for a disappointing trend, so I would stay clear of this place unless noise and no sleep is part of your plan. After a full day of skiing, not the place I would recommend. Also, the quality of the rooms was nothing special and outdated, so not very comfortable.
