Excellent value
The hotel is about to undergo renovations, which are needed to freshen the rooms and common areas. Even though the rooms can use the update, I must say the housekeeping was outstanding. Also, the dining staff were excellent, helpful, and friendly. The front desk staff were also helpful, although not quite as much as other staff in general.

Wouldn't stay again
Walls paper thin, embarrassing really. Room so tiny. I stayed on my own for business trip with one bag, no draws just a single wardrobe. Breakfast was ok, bit cold but all you can eat. Evening meal had steak purchased rump but definitely wasn't. Parking is a bit strange and hotel in university grounds a bit strange all round. Couldn't work out if staff were employed or part of a training scheme.

Handy for Fallowfield
I booked here as it was the best value in this area. I arrived after a long walk in the hills and promptly ordered a coffee at the bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The bar and some decor needs renewing and the hotel has that planned. The wifi does not reach all rooms. Check-in/checkout was hassle free. Overall a comfortable and friendly retreat.

Small Rooms
I was assured a 210 sft room but while booking but was given a very small room and request for change or cancellation was also not entertained. There were many other hotels available with bigger and cheaper rooms and also near to city.

Great breakfast! Room and rest of hotel rather tired. Free wifi but not in the room! Rather expensive for what it was.
