Excellent value
The hotel is about to undergo renovations, which are needed to freshen the rooms and common areas. Even though the rooms can use the update, I must say the housekeeping was outstanding. Also, the dining staff were excellent, helpful, and friendly. The front desk staff were also helpful, although not quite as much as other staff in general.

Wouldn't stay again
Walls paper thin, embarrassing really. Room so tiny. I stayed on my own for business trip with one bag, no draws just a single wardrobe. Breakfast was ok, bit cold but all you can eat. Evening meal had steak purchased rump but definitely wasn't. Parking is a bit strange and hotel in university grounds a bit strange all round. Couldn't work out if staff were employed or part of a training scheme.

Chancellors Hotel, Manchester
poor but clean
not good service by disinterested staff. [although not bar staff he was very good in replacing a suspect beer] considering it was only 30% full, I could not have been placed further away from reception, why is that. Room very small but very clean. overall very overpriced and disappointing
