One night stay in Cloverdale
Very comfortable overnight stay, although the heater/blower had to work overtime due to being in an end unit with 2 exterior walls on a night where it would get down to freezing by morning. Noise of the fan was a bit annoying, but I did manage to sleep. There was a fridge with a small freezer compartment, coffee maker, iron and board, satellite TV, and I think there was a little toaster oven. Location was on the side of a little shopping center with supermarket, restaurants and a number of other shops. A short drive into downtown Cloverdale and nearby access to the freeway or down the back roads into northern Dry Creek Valley. A nice stay overall.

Okay to stay.
The hotel is not very nice but it is okay. The bed was hard and the pillows flattened to almost nothing. The hotel was clean but generic in design. The Trading Post restaurant was amazing. Right in town close to the hotel. It was the diamond in the stay. I would go there again any day. We used this as a place to explore the area. We only slept there. The walls are pretty thin. We could hear the people above us and next to us. However the woman who checked us in was very pleasant and if push comes to shove I would stay there again but bring my own pillow.

Friendly staff
The staff was super friendly and helpful and my boys really enjoyed splashing around in the pool for a bit before getting on the road.

Superb Service Meets Discomfort & Hunger
The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful. Very eager to help in any way and incredibly friendly. The room was clean and well-appointed. There were, however, two major issues. First and foremost, the bed was atrociously uncomfortable. I mean horrible. Woke up sore in places I've never been sore before. Also, the breakfast was very lackluster. Naught more than cereal, a waffle maker, and yogurt/cinnamon rolls. For people (like me) who need protein to start their day, this free breakfast ended up translating to having to go out and purchase one. For the extremely high price of the room, I would have expected eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.

When we checked in, the gentleman was very friendly and made great winery suggestions. The room was basic but clean. The beds were very stiff and the pillows weren't very comfortable. We only had a thin sheet and thin blanket. I woke up cold in the middle of the night. We checked out the pool/hot tub area, and the hot tub had a bunch of bugs and moths inside, so we decided to skip the hot tub. Breakfast is minimal: mostly plain bread, cereal, juice and horrible coffee. We asked if we could do a late check out, and the women at reception said no. It's the first hotel in a very long time that denied this request. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the hotel.
