Do not book the taxi from the hotel!
This is not the first time I been there but it’s disappointed with the booking system for taxi. I book through the hotel to get a cab to one of the temple and I kept on emphasising that I want a cab to charge by meter to the person at the taxi counter who is booking the cab for guest and even before I board the cab I even checked with her and the bellboy to the the driver to go by meter and both nodded but to my surprise when I boarded the cab and it drove some distance away from the hotel, I realised the meter not turned on and the driver insisted that it was agreed on $200 baht... he even gestured rudely with his hand while reemphasing that it’s $200 baht... in order not to get into any danger as a lady, I agreed and when I returned back to the hotel to inform the recept, the replied I got was “the person at the taxi counter is not our staff, they are external vendor, separate identity.” To be honest I was quite taken aback with their reply... to sum up, after this incident, I would think twice if I want to go back to this hotel ever as it seems like their standard has dropped over the years and the pushing blame has started... p.s. I did book from their hotel for cab many times on my previous visits thus, I am quite upset with this incident.

Bangkok stopover hits the spot
Once again the Thai service is excellent, breakfast excellent, staff, check-in and out were prompt, front of house staff were so nice it was a pleasure to come back to the hotel. Breakfast was great, so many choices and they cater for every nationality and then some. Food was plentiful and coffee the best we had in 10 weeks away. Dinner on the other hand (on the evening of our arrival) was disappointing to say the least. I don't believe any chefs were on and it was a reheat job at best, sates were dry, hard and tough. we ventured out into the streets the next two nights and found quality food at a much cheaper price. The area has a couple of large shopping malls etc. but isn't the pick of the Bangkok shopping. Having said that, taxis and tuk tuks are plentiful and you can barter them down. tip: go down to the Oriental Hotel on the Chao Phraya River, or Riverside Centre/Sheraton and look for the orange flagged local river ferries and for the grand total of 15bht you can cruise up the river the entire way, change to another orange flagged ferry and pay another 15bht and go all the way back down the river. An economical and fun way to see life on this majestic waterway, have the camera at the ready as you can snap lots of pics. Busy times (when locals are going to or from work) are hectic and cramped. tip: Radisson Blu has a great sky bar called Brewskies, craft beers on tap and delish bar foods to order and great views to boot.

Bangkok's hidden Gem!!!
We spent quite some time looking for a right hotel for our visit to Bangkok. We are so very glad that we chose this hotel. This hotel actually made our trip to Bangkok more memorable. The hotel is located very centrally and is close to all the tourist attractions. Working distance to shopping, night market, massage is just literally outside the hotel and many of them. The hotel itself is very clean and our roof was quite satisfactory as well. We had a higher floor room and so had a nice panaromic view of the streets and other skytower hotels, buildings. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and really help in getting Taxi and making bookings for tours. The BREAKFAST at this hotel is the best we have had ever,,and we travel quite a bit!!! Its more like a lunch with a great variety and they change the menu everyday. Its so so worth it to add breakfast to your reservation. Thank me later for it!!! Some tips: Always use Metered taxi to go anywhere. This way you know you wont be ripped off by fixed priced Taxi and tuktuk drivers. TukTuk drivers are quite pushy but do negotiate with them on fare, if you want to ride and experience TukTuk. But I wouldn't recommend this if you have very small children as the traffic here is crazy and these drivers are driving like you would have not seen before. Yes, they will drive opposite and head on to oncoming traffic just to make a quick turn. Be careful. Have a pleasant experience like we did.

Best service!
Came back to the same hotel as 2018 I came for Songkran festival and felt so welcome by the receptionist and the concierge team. I checked in at 11 April 2019, it was a 3 night stay. And was greeted by all the familiar faces. The receptionist guy name First, was very efficient with our check in and request, he also pass me a map showing me where are the hot places the water fights will be and I'm just so amazed by how good he can explain it to me. JA was still as beautiful and always greeting us with a big smile on her face every morning when we were walking out of the hotel lobby. The concierge team too! They are super friendly and make us feel so welcome. Overall we will definitely be coming back again next year to the same hotel. Best service!

Hotel staffs not friendly
At the check in counter he wasnt so keen to check us in so already a minus point. Bell boy was so much better comparing to front desk with smiley attitude. The smell in the President Room was really BAD! Every dawn the air con is raining. Bath room has drainage smell. Lift waiting time will kill us especially after a long day. I was provided 2pm late checkout via email in early May and on 3 jun at 1230hrs front desk keep calling to chase us. I definetely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL all ppl here face black black except bell boy has smiley attitude. I ask for way out to the road, so unwilling said here there and turn etc but main point is there is a shorter route out which staff did not tell us, i only found out when i came back.
