Beautiful and clean
This hotel was really easy to get to via the Metro (railway) had we known it would have cost 40 baht each vs a taxi ride 500 baht. The hotel itself was very beautiful inside. The check-in process was easy and the staff was very friendly. We paid for the buffet breakfast and were glad we did. The food was delicious! If we would had had more time we would have enjoyed the pool which was beautiful. If you plan to do a lot of exploring the metro also has day passes and has convenient stops along the town which is cheaper than taking a tuck tuck or taxi depending on how many people are riding. I would recommend it this hotel.

Comfort and nice.
We love to stay at CP, nice room, nice staff, clean rooms, but the pillows are hard and there is no bath robes. The parking lot is like a horror movie. And the hotel is not a walking distance to Asiatique. And no shuttle. The road in front is congestioned but it is fun.

Great Location
This is kind of a weird hotel, but it's in a great location. It's walking distance to BTS station and the public ferry that you can take down the river to Grand Palace, other sites, etc. There is a small market nearby as well as other restaurants and shops. This hotel seems to be in what used to be an office building so the hallways are a bit large. The rooms themselves are spacious and even have dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge. There are a few bottles of free water in the room. The breakfast was pretty standard from what we saw all over Thailand, but it was fine. There is also a pool that looked nice, but we didn't have a chance to use.

Well Past Its Prime
This old hotel needs a dramatic renovation. The wall paint is chipping, the furniture is dated and mold can be seen on the outer building. The room I got was not similar to the Hotels.com photos and must have been take years ago. The promised river-view is only partial and obscured by other buildings. The electrical appliances in the kitchenette were in good working order but the water in the bathroom never got hot enough to take a bath. For the duration of my stay the internet in my room did not work, despite two staff attempts to fix it. The staff were otherwise helpful and the high security measures were assuring for a single traveler in a busy part of Bangkok. I would not recommend this property nor stay here again.
