I love this hotel. I have the honor to stay there at the most important times of my life. Even if I don't stay at the hotel, If I am in Rio I have to go there at least for eat. I feel home. The service is impeccable and the views are breathtaking.

Stay at the hotel during the summer season, at the beginning of January. Warm welcome from the staff and fairly clean room but without being faultless. Lots of little bad cleaning and decor finishes. The rooms have a fairly pleasant and rather masculine design, but the materials are damaged. A very narrow entry even if the configuration is rather well thought out. Damaged wooden floors, wooden walls in poor condition. The armchair in the bedroom and the leather bed bench are not maintained so the leather cracks. About half of the hotel's ocean-facing rooms do not face the iconic mountain of Ipanema. We weren't allowed to have one of them. In-room coffee is not courtesy gift. Rooftop: The swimming pool is nice but the resin inside of it blisters all over the place and pulls away. The equipment: Gray and deformed exotic wood chairs. Terrace in an exotic wood, same thing. Poorly stabilized and we jump on our sun-bed as soon as someone passes nearby. No parasol on days when there is a light wind, but in truth as soon as the weather is cloudier. But if the sun comes out, they don't change their minds quickly. Time to take a good sunburn. The gym is pitiful for athletes who like weight training equipment, machines and more. Breakfast: Arrival at 10:30am you are informed that the buffet will be removed and the kitchen closes 15 minutes later. Without be notified when entering the breakfast room and paying 25€/person. The breakfast room doesn't have a window. So no light no sun!
