Excelent location right across the beach. People on the beach were friendly but at one point annoyed by the insistence of the vendors - the city can do a little more to pick up garbage at the end of the day. Zone relatively safe

second person hastle
I specifically told the front desk at check in that i had a colombian national friend staying with me who would be arriving later. I paid the colombian tax and thought everything was set. However, when she arrived they harrassed us for 15 minutes saying that she was the third guest and i had to pay another fee. it was straitened out but my friend was left suspicious that i had brought someone else their earlier. Very embarrassing.

Not pleasant
Overrated outdated overpriced hotel. Not very friendly.

When we arrived we were surprised to see what the hotel looked like. The pictures are definitely staged and highlight only the decent parts. The hotel is out dated, dirty and the majority of the staff seem stressed or unhappy. Second day our sheets were changed only for the new sheets to have blood on them (before being used) We placed a card on the bed, asking to have the sheets changed and they weren’t. Thus for 2/7 nights we were there my entire family of 4 was packed into one bed. Not to mention one of the two beds was wobbly and unsturdy. The main level bathrooms are atrocious. I have traveled the world and are amongst the worst bathrooms I have seen. We went to the beach one day and my 4 year old son had some sand left on his legs. We were asked by the staff to go to the employee rest room which was on the other side of the hotel to wash off before we could get into the elevator. The bathrooms share a “vent” with the neighboring room, so anytime they go to the bathroom you also share the stink. I could go on and on. The worst part is, as we were checking out, the lady who cleaned our room gave me a survey to complete for feedback, she asked me to put my information in the appropriate place. I went to open the envelope and she was taken aback. I then quickly realized why, she had already filled out the ratings at an “excellent” level and thought I would just put my name on it. I looked at it and then handed it back. I definitely have not seen anything like this before.
