Not a 4 star hotel.
This was not a 4 star hotel although it had 4 stars. It did have a kettle fot coffee but it was noisy in the morning with trucks unloading and the hallway smelled of sewerwater .

Warm Staff, Too Warm Room
Terrifically helpful desk receptionist in the evening, who aided us greatly in a parking snafu, and who helped guide us to the sights and shopping of lovely Waterford. However, although outside temperatures were comfortable, the room was fairly stifling with very poor ventilation. That discomfort during the warm weather months should be kept in mind.

I was alone. I arrived around 8 pm. The parking was full but when I called reception they buzzed me in. I had to go to public parking 2 blocks away walk with all my luggage down not so safe streets. They also failed to tell me that I had to put key in slot to have power. I had to call them to find out why. Power kept cutting off. Hot

Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel on the edge of town.
There is really nothing wrong with this hotel, and there were many things great about it. But the location wasn't close to all the parts of Waterford we wanted to be and on a very busy street. But their seafood chowder is absolutely the best! We heard claims all the time from California to Isle of Capri, and every other seaside location. They lose to this little town hotel. Tip: the main restaurant is taken over every Tues, Wed, Thurs by obnoxious tour groups for dinner, so use their casual restaurant those evenings.
