I really like Melville Hotel!
The room was large with tall ceilings and comfortable furniture. Bedroom was separate from kitchen & living room. Had the feel of Old Mexico. Only problem was some traffic noise before midnight and a car alarm going off at 3am. Great location to everything!

Good location but dirty hotel.
The hotel was old and romantic but it stops there. The room was not clean when we arrived, just clean sheets and towels. The floors were not sweep or mopped. The location was great - in the heart of the historic district, close to the restaurants and beach. But since this is the historical district it’s very loud at night. Loud music both from the local pumonia cars and live bands. The elevator was an experience all it’s own.

Mazatlan's Finest Hotel
The Melville is a fantastic place to stay, centrally located in the heart of old Mazatlan. Every thing you need, nothing you don't.

Great hotel but bad construction!
We love this hotel and have stayed there many times but was totally unaware of the construction that is going on. Couldn't get a taxi around anywhere. I would recommend this hotel BUT definitely find out if there is still construction! We went in May of 2017,.

Noisy and in need of maintenance
Due to a bar with music almost impossible to sleep. The small kitchen poorly equipped with leaking spot. We did not complete our stay. In à laconic way the receptionist told us you are not the first or the last. A place Seniors should avoid. ( certainly rooms on ground floor and directed to the street are not suitable)
