Hotel location is good, close to shopping malls and many restaurants around. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Wide selection of food available in breakfast, taste is subjective but in my opinion it is not bad. I have a little complain about the room tho. Originally I booked a superior room online, turns out it is kinda old and dirty. The room is dark at night even with all interior lights on. My kid is not happy with it. Thus I paid and upgraded to a Deluxe room on the next day. The room is far much better and no more complain from my kid during our stay. The hotel room pictures might have been taken some times ago and they are not showing the actual room condition in present. Make sure you check which room is recently renovated and book the right one. Another draw back is that their spa facility is closed during my stay. It won't finish renovation till October 2019 if I remember correct.

Fair 4.0
The property was great - good location in KL, great buffet and the staff were lovely, but the bed was super uncomfortable - we ordered a queen size bed but ended up with 2 twin bed frames pushed together with a queen sized mattress on top, which was super thin so we could feel the metal underneath. This made sleeping quite uncomfortable. On top of this, we found the water pipes really loud, and we could hear when surrounding rooms were using the toilet or shower. Unluckily, guests came into the room next door in the middle of the night, and the sound of their shower was enough to wake us up. In addition, our room was not cleaned until very late in the day, sometimes 5pm, and on a couple of occasions we arrived back at the hotel before our room was cleaned. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have it ready for us earlier.

Poor 2.0
Terrible experience. Requested a king bed, outcome two single bed. Then staff lack of experience. Second day, found the shower and water pressure problem. Every time call their engineer, no follow up taken. Oh my god. Terrible. I never experience such device before

A good valued 4 stars hotel in the center of KL
There are many hotels in Kuala Lumpur (KL), The ones on the Golden Triangle area are most expensive. This Novotel is not new, and the exterior is showing its age. But its location is unbeatable. It is only 10 minutes walk to KLCC Twin towers, and if you don't feel like walking , the free GoKL Bus stop just 2 minutes away. In the modern Pavilion Mall, just across the street, you can find all the restaurants and shops you need. The nearest LRT stop is 5 minutes walk away via a covered walkway. This hotel is excellent for first time visitors. The hotel staffs are friendly. The breakfast is good, and the lobby bright and airy. There was a swimming pool and gym, and the rooms in the upper floors has great city views. For US$60 per night, Novotel is a good value place to stay. It may lack the glamour of the St. Regis or Hyatt, but then , you would be paying much more.

Sleeping with creepy crawlers!
I have stayed at a few Novotel hotels in other parts of the world, but this one is not exactly up to standard. The rooms are very old and the amenities don't seem to be very good. It seems like their laundry department is not doing their job because all their sheets in this hotel seems to be dirty for some reason. The sheets in my room were disgusting and I had ants in the bathroom. I told front desk so they had someone come change the sheets. They were a little cleaner but still dirty. The next morning I requested to change rooms, so they gave me a free upgrade to a higher floor. Again, the sheets were not so clean and I also got an upgrade in bugs. Instead of ants, there were roaches in my room this time. I didn't want to make a fuss again, so I just lived with my new critter roommates. The wi-fi is good, when it decides to work. You have to pay 5RMB for parking even if you're a hotel guest. The good things are that the staff are friendly and location is great.
