Not perfect--but darn close

Ours was a largish 2-bedroom apartment in a new building that is leasing. "Mitten" company manages a number of these (I imagine while they're waiting to be leased.) The apartment was a regular 2-bedroom--which means it had a full kitchen with a full fridge. It was modern, clean and fully stocked with everything, The beds were comfortable, one of the bathrooms had a tub, and the view was very nice. The building was also clean and very well managed. We were there for a medical situation at the UM Medical Center, and it could not have been better. As brief walk led to ice cream/chocolate parlors (2), restaurants and other urban delights. It might not have been perfect, but it was darn close.

We stayed at this location for two nights. The apartment was clean and spacious with adequate ammenities. The reason that I did not give it an exceptional rating is that the location of the building is right across the street from a bar, which got exceptionally loud at night until the early morning hours. This was not made clear in the location description. Also, a train went by at random hours and occasionally woke us up and a barking dog in the apartment above us woke up everyone in the early hours of the morning. Had it not been imperative that my son get plenty of rest, I would not have minded so much. Finally, the apartment is rather dark and needs more lighting, especially at night. Overall, the place was nice...just loud and dark.

We loved our stay! It was the perfect location as we were visiting my son who goes to Umich. Walking distance to great restaurants and the amazing blank skate creamery is right across the street! Not up to expectations. Room didn’t have basics like pen and paper. Spacious and warm but know fridays and saturdays are very very noisy as many bars just outside window. Parking pass did not work. Was never solved after asking so glad no parking tickets. Confusing entry process which you only learn about 1 hour beforehand even after I asked they did not accommodate. No one on site and foreign host with minimal English just made this frustrating via phone and texts. Hope your stay is better.
